Singhara Cheela is a delicious and nutritious Indian pancake made from singhara flour. It’s enhanced with grated vegetables and spices, resulting in a flavorful and crispy treat. This cheela is perfect for fasting days or as a healthy snack.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 60 grams singhara flour
 - 1 small potato, grated (about 60 grams)
 - 30 grams grated carrot
 - 1 finely chopped green chili
 - 1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
 - 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
 - 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
 - 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
 - Salt to taste
 - 2 teaspoons oil for cooking

Procedure:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the singhara flour with grated potato, grated carrot, chopped green chili, cilantro, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt.
 - Mix well. Add water gradually, stirring continuously, until you get a smooth batter. The consistency should be similar to pancake batter—thick but pourable.
 - Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with oil.
 - Pour a ladleful of batter onto the hot pan and spread it into a thin, even layer using the back of the ladle. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the edges start to lift and the bottom turns golden brown.
 - Flip and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
 - Transfer the cooked cheela to a plate and repeat the process with the remaining batter.
 - Serve hot with green chutney, yogurt, or a side of your choice.
