Mixed Fruit Shrikhand

Fruit shrikhand is kept the fat and sugar in check by using more fruits and using low-fat curd. The fruits increase the fibre content of the dessert and are delicious. It is a mere treat for the entire sweet lover’s.
Nutritional benefits: Curd is very beneficial as it is a probiotic that improves the immunity, helps lose weight and improves digestion. Pomegranate helps lowers blood pressure and are loaded with nutrients. Apple is shown to lower the risk of diabetes and is loaded with fibre. Berries are good for the skin and help to fight against inflammation. All the health benefits make shrikhand a healthy dessert.
Ingredients
- 30 grams mixed fruits (banana+apple+pomegranate+kiwi+berries)
- 20 grams yogurt or hung curd
- 1 teaspoon warm milk
- A few strands on Saffron
- 1 teaspoon of rose water
- 1 teaspoon honey
- ½ teaspoon cardamom powder

Method:
- Take a small bowl and mix the warm milk and saffron. Keep it aside for some time.
- Now in a separate bowl mix in the milk saffron mixture, cardamom powder, rose water, curd and honey; whisk well.
- Let it refrigerate for about 1 hour.
- Take a glass, add in a layer of shrikhand then add a layer of fruits. Repeat it 2-3 times.
- Serve immediately and top with chopped dry fruits (optional).

Dessert is the final or last sweet course of the meal. Different fruits and nuts as per your choice can be added in the shrikhand that gives delicious taste and flavour to the dessert. It is not as sweet and can be taken by diabetic patients once in a while. Enjoy the treat!
