Crispy French toast

Crispy French toast is an amazing snack to kick start your day with. It is a wholesome meal filled with the goodness of protein and fibre.

Nutritional Benefits:
Eggs provides with high biological value protein which helps in building up of muscles. They also contain essential omega -3 fatty acids. Avocado is rich in potassium and is loaded with fibre content which helps in digestion. It also contains fatty acids which are good for controlling cholesterol and other heart problems.


  • 1 whole egg
  • 2 multigrain bread slices
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • ½ orange zest
  • ½ vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

  • Take a slice of bread and place it on a cutting board. Align a circle or star-shaped cookie cutter in the centre of bread slice. Push the cookie cutter through and gently press back and forth and remove bread outside the cutter. Repeat the same process on all the slices of bread.
  • In a bowl, beat the eggs together, salt, cinnamon, vanilla extract and orange zest together.
  • In a pan, heat the oil over medium to high flame and dip both sides of the stars in the egg mixture and transfer to the pan. Let it brown from both the sides and transfer to plate. Serve hot.
