Oats pineapple Sheera

Oats are becoming popular among people belonging to the younger generation.  Being a gluten-free alternative, it can be used as a part of various recipes.Beta-glucan is an important component of dietary fibre found in oat grains. It is the major active compound in oats with proven cholesterol-lowering and antidiabetic effects. In addition, oat consumption assists in preventing diseases such as atherosclerosis, dermatitis, and some forms of cancer. Do try out this delectable delicacy.

 

Ingredients:

I cup- Rolled oats

½ cup- Pineapple puree

1 tbsp- ghee

½ cup- sugar

1 cup-Milk

1 tbsp- almond slivers

 

Method:

  1. Heat the ghee in a broad non-stick pan,add the rolled oats and saute on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes or till they turn light brown in colour while stirring continuously.
  2. Add the pineapple puree and mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Add the sugar,milk and ½ cup of water,mix well and cook for another 4 to 5 minutes or till the liquid evaporates, while stirring continuously.
  4. Serve hot garnished with almond slivers.
