Dates and Nuts Ladoo

Dates and nuts ladoos are delicious, energy-packed treats made from finely chopped dates, mixed nuts, sesame seeds, and aromatic spices like cardamom and nutmeg, all brought together with a touch of ghee. These ladoos are perfect for a quick, nutritious snack.

For a Serving Size of Two:

Ingredients:

  • 70 grams dates, pitted and finely chopped
  • 40 grams finely mixed nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds 
  • ½ teaspoon cardamom powder 
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg powder 
  • ½ teaspoon ghee 

Procedure: 

  • Heat a non-stick pan over low heat and add the nuts and toast them and remove them.
  • Add chopped dates to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring continuously until the dates soften and form a sticky mixture.
  • Spill the finely chopped mixed nuts, sesame seeds, cardamom powder, and nutmeg powder to the pan and mix well until everything is combined.
  • Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously, until the nuts are well coated with the date mixture.
  • Remove the pan from heat and allow the mixture to cool slightly.
  • Grease your palms with ghee and take a small portion of the mixture and roll it between your palms to form a smooth ladoo.
  • Repeat the process with the remaining mixture to make more ladoos. 
  • Let the ladoos cool completely before serving or storing in an airtight container.
