Cauliflower Moong dal

This recipe is easy to prepare, extremely nutritious and is great for overall health and well-being. It can give a cooling effect on the body due to the ingredient of moong dal. It is best seasoned with cilantro and served with rice or chapattis.
Nutritional benefits:
Moong dal is packed with plenty of nutrients like fiber, magnesium and helps in lowering the cholesterol levels. Cauliflower, on the other hand, is high in fibre and phytonutrients that aids digestion and weight loss.
Ingredients:
- 30 grams moong dal split
- 15 grams cauliflower
- 1-2 green chilli
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 10 grams onion, chopped
- 10 grams tomatoes, chopped
- 5 grams each of ginger and garlic
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1 teaspoon of garam masala
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Salt as per taste
- 1 tablespoon of coriander, chopped

Method:
- Let’s start this recipe by roasting the moong dal for a few minutes.
- Next, soak the dal in water for about 20 minutes.
- Take a pan, add in some water along with moong dal, salt, turmeric powder, cumin powder and green chilli.
- Let it cook for about 20-25 minutes until the dal get soft.
- Take another pan, add in some ghee or oil.
- Add in the chopped onions, sauté them till they are golden brown.
- Add in the tomato, ginger and garlic and cook them together.
- Mix the dal mixture in this pan and sautee.
- Add in the cauliflower florets along with the spices and mix well to coat everything properly.
- Sprinkle the garam masala, garnish with coriander leaves and serve!
