Amaranth Rice Flour Nachos

Amaranth Rice Flour Nachos are a crunchy and nutritious snack made from a blend of amaranth flour and rice flour, seasoned with spices and baked to perfection. These homemade nachos offer a healthier twist on the traditional snack, providing a satisfying crunch and a burst of flavor.

For a Serving Size of Two:

Ingredients:

  • 60 grams amaranth flour
  • 60 grams rice flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 60 ml water
  • 1 teaspoon oil

Procedure:

  • In a bowl, combine amaranth flour, rice flour, cumin powder, chili powder, garlic powder, and salt. Gradually add water and mix until a smooth dough forms.
  • Roll the dough out between two sheets of parchment paper to a thin, even layer.
  • Remove the top parchment paper and cut the dough into nacho-sized triangles. Brush lightly with oil.
  • Transfer to a baking sheet and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10-12 minutes or until crisp and golden.
  • Allow to cool completely before serving. Enjoy as a healthy snack with your favorite dips.
