Walnut and Fruit Energy Bites are a delightful, no-bake snack that combines the rich flavors of walnuts and a variety of dried fruits. Packed with natural sweetness and wholesome ingredients, these energy bites are perfect for a quick energy boost anytime during the day. Easy to prepare and nutrient-dense, they make for an excellent snack option for both kids and adults.

For a Serving Size of Two:

Ingredients:

  • 60 grams walnuts, chopped
  • 30 grams pitted and chopped dried dates
  • 20 grams chopped dried apricots
  • 20 grams raisins
  • 20 grams rolled oats
  • 10 grams chia seeds
  • 10 grams coconut flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter (or any nut butter of choice)

Procedure:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped walnuts, dates, dried apricots, raisins, rolled oats, chia seeds, coconut flour, cinnamon powder, and salt.
  • Add almond butter to the mixture. Mix thoroughly until all the ingredients are well combined and sticky. If the mixture feels too dry, you can add a little water or more nut butter to help it bind.
  • Using your hands, take small portions of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls (about 1 inch in diameter).
  • Place the energy bites on a plate lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up. Once set, transfer them to an airtight container for storage.
  • Enjoy the energy bites as a quick snack or pre-workout fuel!

Nutritional Benefits:

  • These energy bites are a nutritional powerhouse, providing a rich source of healthy fats, fiber, and essential vitamins. Walnuts are loaded with omega-3 fatty acids, which are vital for heart health and brain function.
  • The inclusion of dried fruits, such as dates and apricots, contributes natural sugars along with antioxidants and minerals that help in maintaining energy levels throughout the day.
  • Rolled oats and chia seeds add dietary fiber, promoting digestive health and providing a sustained feeling of fullness.
  • The nut butter adds protein and healthy fats, making these bites a well-rounded snack option. Overall, Walnut and Fruit Energy Bites are not just delicious but also a healthy choice for snacking, helping to curb cravings and nourish the body.
