Tricolor Sandwich Roll

Tricolor Sandwich Roll is a fun and healthy take on the classic sandwich, featuring vibrant layers of carrots, spinach, and paneer, wrapped in whole wheat or sourdough bread. It’s a visually appealing snack or lunchbox item that is not only nutritious but also flavorful.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 4 slices whole wheat bread/ sourdough bread
- 50 grams grated carrots (for orange layer)
- 50 grams spinach leaves (blanched and chopped, for green layer)
- 50 grams paneer (crumbled, for white layer)
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- Salt
- Black pepper
Procedure:
- For the orange layer, sauté grated carrots with 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds, salt, and pepper for 2-3 minutes.
- For the green layer, sauté blanched spinach with cumin seeds, salt, and pepper until soft.
- For the white layer, Lightly sauté crumbled paneer with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Flatten bread slices with a rolling pin. Trim edges. Spread the carrot mixture on one slice, spinach on another, and paneer on a third slice.
- Stack the slices to form layers.
- Gently roll the stacked bread into a tight roll. Wrap in foil or cling film and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
Slice and serve chilled or at room temperature as a healthy snack or lunchbox item.
