Avocado and Papaya Salad

Papaya and avocado salad is a great addition to the holiday table at any time of the year. This is a great way of forgetting the boring green salad while consuming all the healthy nutritious components. It is a great option to be used as a side dish along with your favorite meals.

Avocados are a great source of vitamins as well as riboflavin, niacin, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, and potassium. They are good in healthy fats and loaded with mono-saturated fatty acids. Papaya is good in antioxidants and good in fiber and vitamin C that helps to fight off heart diseases. Pumpkin seeds are rich in antioxidants, zinc, and magnesium and help in reducing high blood pressure and cholesterol levels.
Ingredients:
- 5 grams of pumpkin seeds
- 30 grams papaya
- 15 grams avocado
- 1 teaspoon fresh mint
- 15 grams lettuce
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper as per taste

Method:
- First, dry roast the pumpkin seeds in a frying pan for 5-7 minutes and keep them aside.
- Scoop the papaya to remove the seeds and remove the peel and cut thin slices. Similarly, cut thin slices of avocado.
- Add both papaya and avocado along with pumpkin seeds in a bowl. Add in the washed and chopped lettuce. Add in the chopped mint leaves.
- Take a small bowl and add in the olive oil. Lemon juice, remaining mint, and salt and pepper as per taste. Mix it well to combine
- Pour the dressing over the salad and serve

This salad is very simple to prepare but is full of texture and flavor combinations. The gorgeous avocado base along with the tender ripe papaya makes it a very desirable salad.
