  • 200 grams paneer, crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped

  • 2 whole wheat or multigrain tortillas (or wraps)
  • 1 cup mixed salad greens (like lettuce, spinach, and arugula)
  • 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 small carrot, julienned
  • 1/4 bell pepper, thinly sliced (any color)

Procedure:

  • In a skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  • Add crumbled paneer, soy sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the paneer is heated through and slightly golden.
  • Remove from heat and stir in fresh cilantro. Set aside to cool slightly
  • Lay out the tortillas on a clean surface.
  • Place a generous amount of the paneer filling in the center of each tortilla.
  • Top with a handful of mixed salad greens, sliced cucumber, julienned carrot, and bell pepper.
  • Carefully fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top, securing the filling inside.
  • If desired, slice the rolls in half diagonally for easier handling.

Nutritional Benefits:

  • This Smokey Sesame Paneer Roll is packed with health benefits. Paneer is a great source of high-quality protein and calcium, essential for muscle health and bone strength. The use of sesame oil not only enhances flavor but also adds healthy fats, particularly omega-6 fatty acids, which are important for heart health.
  • Fresh vegetables like cucumber, carrots, and bell peppers provide a wealth of vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A and C, which support immune function and skin health. The fiber from the whole wheat tortilla and vegetables aids digestion and promotes satiety.
