A Sweet Retreat : Badam Payasam Recipe

With health benefits like maintaining blood pressure levels, and managing weight loss, this simple recipe of Badam Payasam from Kerala’s extraordinaire cuisine will satisfy your taste buds this festive season.

Badam Payasam recipe:
What you need:

  • 15g of Almonds, blanched & peeled
  • 250-300 ml of low-fat milk
  • 1/4 tsp. of Cardamom powder
  • Saffron to taste
  • 5 gm Jaggery

Nutritional Benefits: Serves a healthy amount of carbohydrates, protein & fat. Extremely beneficial for ones with high blood pressure levels.
Calories: 275-300 kcal
How you cook:

  • Make a smooth paste of almonds with cardamom powder, saffron, and jaggery.
  • Boil milk. Add ground almonds mix and cook for few minutes.
  • Serve hot or chilled.
