Strawberry Granita

For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 300 grams fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 100 ml water
Procedure:
- In a blender, combine the chopped strawberries, honey, lemon juice, and water. Blend until smooth.
- If desired, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the seeds for a smoother texture.
- Pour the strawberry mixture into a shallow dish or baking pan. Place it in the freezer.
After about 1 hour, use a fork to scrape the mixture, breaking up any ice crystals that form. Return to the freezer. - Continue to freeze and scrape the mixture every 30 minutes for about 3-4 hours, or until the granita is fluffy and light.
- Once ready, spoon the granita into bowls or cups. You can garnish with fresh strawberries or mint leaves if desired.
