Semolina Oats Dhokla

Semolina Oats Dhokla is a nutritious and flavorful steamed snack made with a blend of semolina and ground oats, enriched with yogurt and spices. This dish combines the traditional dhokla texture with a modern twist, providing a healthy alternative that is both light and satisfying.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 50 grams semolina (rava)
 - 30 grams oats, ground into a fine powder
 - 60 grams yogurt
 - 1 teaspoon ginger-green chili paste
 - 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
 - 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
 - 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds
 - A pinch of hing
 - Salt to taste
 - 2 teaspoon lemon juice
 - 1 teaspoon oil
 - 1/4 teaspoon fruit salt (Eno)
 - Coriander leaves for garnish
 
Procedure:
- In a bowl, mix semolina, oats powder, yogurt, ginger-green chili paste, turmeric, and salt. Add water gradually to make a thick batter. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
 - Add lemon juice and fruit salt (Eno) to the batter and mix well. Pour the batter into a greased steaming tray.
 - Steam for about 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
In a small pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds, sesame seeds, and asafoetida. Let it splutter, then pour over the steamed dhokla. - Cut the dhokla into squares, garnish with coriander leaves, and serve warm.
