Anjeer, also known as fig, is rich in antioxidants. Its fibre content helps to treat constipation. They are an excellent source of prebiotics, which improve overall gut health.It contains a good amount of potassium which helps in keeping down heart diseases.Figs are a good source of both calcium and potassium. These minerals can work together to improve bone density, which can, in turn, prevent conditions like osteoporosis. 

 

Ingredients:

 

Milk- 1 litre

Anjeer(fig)- 100gm

Sugar- 150gm

Walnuts- 50gm

Cardamoms- 3

Mava- 100gm

Ghee- 1 tbsp

 

Method:

  1. Chop the anjeer,soak it in a little quantity of milk.
  2. Boil the remaining milk in a pan, add sugar & stir over a low flame for a few minutes.
  3. Then, add anjeer mixture and go on stirring till mixture becomes thick and leaves sides.
  4. Add mashed mava,ghee,walnut,cardamom powder.
  5. Mix well and pour over a greased lid. When set, cut in cubes.
