Cinnamon apple fruit squares

Cinnamon apple fruit squares are packed with the goodness of apple and cinnamon. It is an amazing recipe that you can count onto during any time of the day.

Nutritional benefits –

The main ingredient of this recipe is oats are rich in carbohydrate and fibre content thereby helps in better digestion and keeps you full for a longer period of time Apples are a great source of fibre and flavonoids. They are also low in sodium, cholesterol and are a good source of Vitamin C. Flax seeds are rich in dietary fiber and omega -3 which are said to lower blood pressure, improves cholesterol and also promotes better digestion.

Ingredients –

  • 20 grams of rolled oats
  • 10 grams apple
  • 1 teaspoon ground flax seeds
  • 2 date
  • 1/4th teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 10 grams unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method –

  • Take a pan and dry roast the oats over low heat until just browned around the edges for about 1 to 2 minutes and remove from the heat and set aside.
  • Meanwhile in another bowl, combine the flaxseed with warm water and set aside to thicken for about 5 minutes.
  • Then add butter, dates, coconut oil, vanilla extract, cinnamon powder and salt into the blender and blend.
  • Then add the flaxseed mixture and blend until smooth.
  • Then add the oats and mix well. Also add sliced apples and incorporate them well into the batter.
  • Spread the batter on to the baking tray and chill until firm for at least 30 minutes.
  • Once chilled, cut into square shapes and serve.
