Tomato Onion Soup

Tomato onion soup is a perfect starter to your meals as it has tangy flavours to wake up your appetite.
Nutritional Benefits –
Tomatoes are rich in vitamin C and help protect the skin from sun damage. Onions are beneficial for lowering cholesterol and keeping the heart healthy. Also, olive oil is a good antioxidant.
Ingredients –
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 1 cup tomato juice
- 1 tsp jaggery
- 2 tsp olive oil
- Coriander leaves
- Black pepper
- Salt to taste

Method –
- Saute onions and tomato in a pan until soft.
- Grind the mixture to a fine paste and strain it.
- Now heat olive oil in a pan, add the above mixture, tomato juice, ½ cu of water, jaggery, black pepper and salt, and bring to a boil.
- Serve hot, garnished with coriander leaves.
