Barley and Vegetable Porridge is an amazing dish to enjoy during breakfast or lunch with your family and friends. Made with the goodness of barley and vegetables it is a perfect dish to be tried upon which can be prepared instantly too.

Barley is rich in both soluble and insoluble fibre and therefore aids in proper digestion. The fibre plays an important role in order to get rid of chronic diseases thereby safeguarding overall health.
Ingredients
- 15 grams barley
- 10 grams moong dal
- 10 grams carrot
- 10 grams bottle gourd sliced
- ¼ teaspoon asafetida
- 1/4th teaspoon cumin seeds
- Salt as per taste
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon ghee

Method:
- Heat the ghee in a pressure cooker and add cumin seeds.
- Then add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
- Sautee a little and add bottle gourd, carrot, barley, moong dal with all the spices.
- Now pressure cook until 3 whistles.
- Serve hot.
