Walnutty Pancakes

Walnutty pancakes are an amazing breakfast option to kick start your day with. It is a wholesome meal filled with the goodness of Protein and fiber.

Nutritional benefits –

The main ingredient of this recipe is that oats are rich in carbohydrate and fiber content thereby helping in better digestion and keeps you full for a longer period of time. Eggs provide us with high biological value protein which helps in building up muscles. They also contain essential omega -3 fatty acids. Walnuts are rich in antioxidants and omega-3 levels. They have a good amount of fiber as well and add high nutritional benefits to the dish.

Ingredients –

  • 20 grams oats flour
  • 10 grams walnuts
  • 10 grams yogurt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4th teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 5 grams oil

Method –

  • Take a large bowl, whisk egg, yogurt, oil, chopped walnuts, vanilla essence and honey.
  • Then add oats flour, baking soda and salt.
  • Gently combine by using a cut and fold method.
  • Add water if needed to adjust consistency.
  • Now take a nonstick pan and pour the batter into it.
  • Cook for 2 minutes and then flip when you see bubbles foaming around the edges of pancakes.
  • Serve along with fresh fruits.
