Wedding Update: Beware of these Skincare Mistakes

Every young woman dreams of glowing and the most radiant skin on her special day. She imagines herself with the perfect outfit, stunning accessories, fabulous make-up, and of course the most amazing skin ever.
However, with elaborate marriage planning comes a huge toll of stress and it’s hard to keep your skin at its best. And, in the quest for dewy, fresh, and glowing skin, you could indulge yourself in making a few skincare mistakes. Here are five common skincare mistakes that every bride should avoid making:

  • Trying new skincare products: The market is loaded with new skincare products every other day. From drug stores to any luxury store, every day there are skincare products are being launched and people are seen buying them with all the hype in the market. You might be tempted to try a new skin product for better benefits and glowing skin. What you don’t consider is how your skin might react to the new skincare product as your skin is not used to it. You need to understand that no product can give you results in such a short span of time.
  • Altering your skincare routine: Changing your skincare routine weeks or even months before the wedding day is not a good idea. We know you tweak your routine to get better results but changing your tried and tested routine by adding or skipping a few steps is a bigger risk that can pose a big problem on your wedding day. So, stick to your regular skincare routine that you know works best for you and won’t break you out.
  • Diving into chemicals treatments or facials: Many brides-to-be get carried away by facials, peels, and chemical treatments that are available at almost every salon. These are a big no-no, especially if you have never done these facials/treatments before. In reality, these quick fixes can do more harm than good. Always remember that treatment right before your wedding is not a good idea; instead, stick to gentle, simple products, and use them every day.
  • Popping-up the pimples: Acne and pimples are the stuff of nightmare for all the brides-to-be, right? They all want to be as far away from it as possible. But, sometimes it is inevitable. Now that you have that pimple, resist the urge to instantly pop that out. If you want flawless skin, DO NOT (I repeat) never pop those pimples. It can result in swollen skin, leaving behind a nasty mark, and won’t look good in your wedding photos. Stay calm and let it heal with time.
  • Missing out on sunscreen: You might find basking under the sun relaxing but your skin does not. The harmful rays of the sun can damage your skin cells. From acne to huge pigmentation, sun rays can cause a great deal of skin damage. It is not a bright idea to ditch the sunscreen, especially when you are trying to keep your skin flawless for your special day. Put on sunscreen before stepping out and choose a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30.

Over to you:
Pre-wedding skincare is no joke, isn’t it? So, to keep your skin ever glowing, radiant, and free from any marks beware of the above-mentioned skin care mistakes. Also, don’t forget to drink a good amount of water and eat a healthy diet!
