Tangy Chicken Piccata

Tangy chicken piccata is basically a recipe of fish curry which is prepared with flavour of garlic and mustard seeds.

Nutritional benefits –

Chicken is enriched with high-quality protein, omega -3 fatty acids, vitamins like vitamin D and vitamin B2 and minerals like calcium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, iodine, magnesium and potassium.

Ingredients –

  • 40 grams chicken breast
  • 2-3 Garlic pods
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 20 grams tomato
  • 1-2 Green chillies
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
  • Salt and pepper as per taste
  • 10 grams of mustard oil

Method:

  • Take the chicken and marinate it with salt and turmeric powder for around 5 minutes.
  • Soak the mustard seeds in water for 10-15 minutes.
  • Blend these mustard seeds, garlic pods and green chillies to make a fine paste.
  • Heat the mustard oil in a pan and when it is smoking hot then fry the chicken pieces till both sides turns light brown colour.
  • Take another pan add oil and put the prepared paste and fry for 2-3 minutes.
  • Then add chopped tomatoes and add the spices.
  • Cook for a few minutes and add 1 cup of water to boil.
  • Once boiled add the fried chicken pieces into it and let it boil.
  • Cover it and cook until the gravy thickens and serve garnished with coriander leaves.
