No Bake Oat Bites

No Bake Oat Bites are a quick and convenient snack made from rolled oats, natural peanut butter, and a mix of nuts, dried fruit, and cocoa powder. These bite-sized treats are perfect for a nutritious, energy-boosting snack or a healthy dessert.

For a Serving Size of Two:

Ingredients:

  • 30 grams rolled oats
  • 15 grams natural peanut butter (homemade)
  • 10 grams unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 15 grams chopped nuts (e.g., almonds, walnuts)
  • 10 grams dried fruit (e.g., raisins, chopped dates)
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 1-2 tablespoons water or milk (as needed)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Procedure:

  • In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, chopped nuts, dried fruit, cocoa powder, chia seeds, and shredded coconut.
  • Add the peanut butter and vanilla extract. Mix well until all ingredients are combined and the mixture is sticky.
  • If the mixture is too dry and not sticking together, add 1 tablespoon of water or milk at a time until the mixture holds together when pressed.
  • Using your hands or a small cookie scoop, form the mixture into bite-sized balls and place them on a parchment-lined tray.
  • Refrigerate the oat bites for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  • Store the No Bake Oat Bites in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Nutritional Benefits:

  • These oat bites are rich in fiber from oats and chia seeds, which support digestion and keep you feeling full. Natural peanut butter and nuts provide healthy fats and protein, essential for sustained energy and muscle repair.
  • Cocoa powder adds antioxidants, while dried fruit contributes natural sweetness and additional nutrients.
  • Chia seeds boost the nutritional profile with omega-3 fatty acids, and shredded coconut offers extra flavor and texture. Refrigeration helps the bites firm up, making them a satisfying, on-the-go snack.
