Matcha Avocado Walnut Smoothie

This green walnut smoothie gets its natural hue from matcha powder and a handful of fresh leaves. California walnuts and avocado give a creamy texture to the smoothie.

Nutritional Value

Walnuts: 7 whole walnuts are recommended for daily consumption as these include 2.5 g of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), 4 grams of protein, 2 grams of fiber and minimal carbohydrates. This proportion of macronutrients is responsible for satiety. Walnuts are also a good source of magnesium (45 mg per ounce).

Matcha: Matcha contains a very large amount of antioxidants. Matcha is packed with exponentially more antioxidants than any other ‘superfood’. These antioxidants have the power to reduce oxidative stress to a great extent.
