Falsa Sherbet

Falsa Sherbet is a refreshing, tangy summer drink made from Indian Grewia berries, known for their distinct sweet and sour flavor. Enhanced with black salt and roasted cumin powder, this sherbet is a perfect balance of sweet, salty, and tangy tastes, offering a delightful and cooling beverage.

For a Serving Size of Two:

Ingredients:

  • 100 grams falsa (Indian Grewia berries)
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • 500 ml chilled water
  • Ice cubes
  • Mint leaves

Procedure:

  • Wash the falsa berries thoroughly and mash them to extract the juice. You can use a blender and then strain the pulp through a sieve.
  • In a large bowl, add the falsa juice, sugar, black salt, and roasted cumin powder. Stir well until the sugar dissolves.
  • Gradually add chilled water to the mixture, stirring to combine.
  • Pour the falsa sherbet into glasses, add ice cubes if desired, and garnish with mint leaves.
