Avocado Hummus

Avocado hummus is a creamy and delicious twist on the classic chickpea dip, combining the rich texture of ripe avocado. This healthy alternative not only offers a delightful taste but also provides a unique creaminess that makes it perfect for dipping or spreading. With its vibrant green color, this hummus is as visually appealing as it is tasty.
For a Serving Size of Two:
Ingredients:
- 1 ripe avocado (about 150 grams)
- 60 grams boiled chickpeas
- 1 small garlic clove, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1-2 tablespoons water
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Procedure:
- In a food processor, combine the ripe avocado, chickpeas, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin powder, and salt.
- Blend until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add 1-2 tablespoons of water to reach your desired consistency.
- Taste the hummus and adjust the seasoning if needed, adding more salt or lemon juice according to your preference.
- Transfer the avocado hummus to a serving bowl, drizzle with a little olive oil, and garnish with fresh coriander if desired. Serve with vegetable sticks, whole-grain pita, or crackers.
