How To Make Healthy Summer Ice Creams

Classic and well known ice cream combinations are loved by everyone and ingredients are easily available. Even if you don’t have an ice cream maker at mold at home, you can easy try these by freezing them in small cups or glasses. Home-made ice creams are an easy way to beat the summer heat and your dessert cravings. Low in sugar with healthy substitutes and loaded with goodness of fruits, what else you can ask for!

 

  • Plum vanilla Ice Cream

 

Ingredients

  • 2 plums
  • 1 bowl condensed milk
  • 1 bowl of whipped cream
  • 3-4 drops of Vanilla essence

Method

  • Take a bowl, pour condensed milk and vanilla essence and mix. 
  • Use hand mixer to whip cream, add whipped cream and plum pulp and stir well.
  • Transfer the content to a box or glass, cover it with a foil paper and freeze for 8 hours.
  • Scoop, serve and enjoy the plum coloured delight .

 

 

  • Kesar Pistachio Ice Cream

 

Ingredients

  • 1-2 teaspoons chopped pistachio
  • 1 bowl condensed milk
  • 1 bowl of whipped cream
  • Few strands of saffron
  • 1-2 dates
  • A few drops of vanilla extract

Method

  • Soak saffron strands in a teaspoon of water.
  • Whisk milk, vanilla extract, and add small pieces of dates.
  • Add cream, whisk and mix well.
  • Add chopped pistachio and saffron
  • Add to freezer safe bowl and freeze for 6-8 hours.
  • Scoop and serve with fruit toppings like mango.

 

 

  • Banana Choco Chip Ice cream

 

Ingredients

  • 1 Banana
  • 2 teaspoons of cocoa powder
  • A pinch of choco chips
  • 1 bowl of cream
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • Few drops of vanilla extract
  • A few chocolate chunks

Method

  • Slice the bananas and freeze it for 2 hours to add texture to the ice cream.
  • Mix cocoa, honey and cream.
  • Blend the bananas to a smooth paste.
  • Mix cocoa cream and banana puree and blend well. Add few drops of vanilla extract.
  • Add it to freezer safe dish and freeze for 1 hour. Top it with choco chips .
  • Serve with brownie.

 

 

  • Coconut Banana ice cream

 

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon of desiccated coconut 
  • ½ Banana
  • 1-2 teaspoon of condensed milk
  • 1 bowl of cream
  • 2 dates
  • Few drops of vanilla extract

Method

  • Refrigerate cream overnight.
  • Transfer the content in a bowl and whip.
  • Add grated dates and mix well. Blend the banana and add desiccated coconut to it.
  • Whip the cream till peaks form. Add the whipped cream to the banana mixture and whisk a bit. 
  • Transfer the mixture to a freezer safe bowl.
  • Keep it in for 6-8 hours. Enjoy the delightful icecream!

 

 

  • Mango Pineapple Ice cream

 

Ingredients

  • 1 bowl chilled cream
  • 1 bowl Pineapple
  • 1 bowl mango cubes
  • 1-2 teaspoons of condensed milk

Method

  • Using a beater, whip the cream.
  • Add mango, pineapple and honey to a blender and blend till smooth puree.
  • Pour cream in the mix and whip the mix.
  • Add the mixture to freezer safe bowl and cover.
  • Freeze till set and serve with delight.
