  • Puran Poli – It is one of the traditional dishes which is basically a flat bread of wheat flour with a sweet stuffing of chana, desiccated coconut , jaggery and nutmeg powder. Puran poli is prepared during festivals, get together and grand celebrations.
  • Misal pav- Misal pav is one of the most famous Maharashtrian dishes. This King of this state’s street food is made up of Misal which is basically a spicy curry made up of moth beans along with pav which is a kind of Indian bread topped with lime juice and coriander.
  • Vada pav- It is a very famous street food of Maharashtra which almost every one of us have relished once. It is basically moong dal vada which is stuffed inside a pav along with spicy mint and chilli sauce.
  • Keri aamti- This dish is one of the popular dishes to try when in Maharashtra during summers. It is an amazing meal to beat the scorching heat of summer. It is basically sweet and spicy thick gravy made up from raw mangoes and authentic spices served with steamed white rice to provide you with divine flavor.
  • Kothimbir vada- It is one of the yummiest Maharashtrian snacks. It is made by mixing coriander leaves with besan and water mixture along with Indian spices. Then it is steamed to get a cake-like structure and then is cut into square pieces and served with spicy chili and mint chutney.
  • Pandhra Rassa- It is one of the delicacies which comes straight from the roots of Kolhapur. Pandhara Rassa is basically a soup prepared from chicken or mutton broth along with coconut milk, sliced onion, cashew paste, green chili and other spices.
  • Pav Bhaji- Pav bhaji is one dish which Marathi people kinda live for. It comprises bhaji which is made up of boiled vegetables mashed together and is spiced with special spices for that amazing flavor. This bhaji is served hot with Indian bread which is the Pav.
  • Thalipeeth- Thalipeeth is basically a Multigrain pancake which is made by a flour which is the mixture of roasted rice grain, wheat, bajra, jowar, chana dal and the urad dal. This dough is kneaded along with finely chopped vegetables, green chilies and spices.
