Avocado BlueBerry Smoothie

Smoothie is a great breakfast option and makes a healthy breakfast. It is prepared within minutes and can be prepared with any fruit and nuts. The ingredients used in this smoothie are great for brain development and when each one is blended altogether they make a powerhouse of a smoothie. The pomegranate juice provides a great flavour to the smoothie. 

 

Nutritional benefits

 

Blueberries are high in antioxidants and help in fighting diseases and are low in calories.

Almonds contain a great number of nutrients such as magnesium, calcium, healthy fats, protein, and fibre. Avocados are good in omega 3 fatty acids that keep the brain at top of its game and polyunsaturated fatty acids have shown to help in fighting fatigue. Pomegranate juice protects the body from free radicals and acts as an oxygen mask therefore is heart-healthy.

 

Ingredients:

  • 20 grams blueberries
  • 50ml pomegranate juice
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 5 grams almonds( chopped)
  • 10 grams avocado( peeled)

Calories: 108 Kcal

Fat: 4.7 grams

Carbohydrates: 15.9 grams

Protein: 3.05 grams

 

Method:

 

Take a blender, clean it and add in all the ingredients to blend to obtain a smooth consistency.
