While it’s true that your body converts food into energy, there are certain foods you can eat that will produce more energy than others and will keep you fuelled up throughout the day.

Incorporate good-for-you foods all day long, whether to your meals or enjoy them on their own during snack time. Choose sources of food that are high in the protein, vitamins, and minerals that help you to feel awake, alert, and high-functioning all day long — and they taste great, too!

Apple

The reason why apples should be eaten in the morning hours is because apples are rich in dietary fiber, pectin, which is found in its peel. Since many people have digestive issues due to insomnia or mid night snacking, apples right in the morning, after waking up is a good idea. Therefore, eating an apple in the morning can stimulate your bowel movement better than any other fruit. The fructose in the apple meets your body’s need for sugar naturally and gives energy to your body. To your surprise, apple, which is very healthy for your digestion system, gives more energy than a cup of coffee in the early morning.

Every meal should contain food sources rich in protein and what better way to start by including it in the first meal of your day! Don’t skip the egg yolk. While there is a belief that it can be high in cholesterol, egg yolks have been proven to reduce bad cholesterol in the long run.
