The spiritual bliss of the holy month of Ramadan is here! During the festive cheer of Ramadan, Muslims abstain themselves from food and water during the day. Their fast starts with a pre-dawn meal called ‘Sehri’ and is broken only after sunset, followed by an elaborate ‘Iftar’ meal. Adding wholesome and nourishing food items to the sehri meal will provide you with the apt energy to keep you going and save you from the various health glitches. Nuts are a prerequisite to your sehri as it helps in keeping you full while boosting your energy levels. You can have a handful of different types of nuts like walnuts, almonds, cashews and pistachios to get the punch of heart-healthy nutrients.
  • Say welcome to the fruits: Fruits are known for their wide nutritional profile and plenty of health benefits. Fruits are filled with natural sugars that amp up your energy levels. Fruits are also a rich source of fibre which will keep you full for a longer period of time. These juicy and pulpy fruits are the best way to quench your thirst. Do add a plateful of different fruits to get the goodness of vital nutrients.
  • Eat mindfully: Make sure to not stuff up your stomach with too many foods. Maintain your portion size to avoid any digestive issues.
