Purify the Air inside your Home with These Effective Tips

The air inside our house can be 2 to 5 times more toxic and polluted than the outside air. We can all go for regular check-ups and take pills daily due to stressors in the environment and stress over allergies as well, but the requirement of breathing in pure, good air might still be a mystery to many. Do we even know about the quality of air inside the house or how harmful it is? There are toxic chemicals everywhere, from the kitchen table to your sleeping mattress. Breathing in this toxic environment can lead to problems like rashes, irritation in the eyes, coughing, or even asthmatic symptoms in many cases. There is a harmful gas, which is found in insecticides, shampoos, glues, shaving creams, and even carpets. This toxic gas is known carcinogenic and is even found in cigarette smoke.

Some everyday items like woodwork, paint chemicals, hair and nail products, detergents, and cleaning products all lead to air pollution in the house, this shows how so many potentially harmful contaminants are present within our range, and all these chemicals are trapped within our homes, and you can’t even open a window to get some fresh air. Given all these details we should try to focus on what we can do about this problem, and that is effectively working on purifying the air at home-

  • Proper Ventilation
If the air outside is polluted, you don’t have to open a window for ventilation but use exhaust fans to carry the pollutants outside, ventilate your kitchen well, since a source of air pollution is cooking, from sources like gas stoves. Increasing ventilation will reduce the moisture level, which is the reason for bad indoor air quality.
  • Using beeswax candles
They act as natural air purifiers. They work effectively on pollution. Keep in mind to avoid paraffin candles, they are petroleum-derived and can release benzene, toluene, and soot in the air increasing the toxicity of the house. Beeswax, on the other hand, ionizes the air and neutralizes any harmful component. They burn with no smoke, and are great for asthmatics, and remove common allergens like dust.
  • Indoor plants
One of the basic steps is to get houseplants. They will help you get natural air and relieve stress. You can place these houseplants in different directions of the home and get the maximum benefit from the purification, for example, weeping figs and snake plants.
  • Essential oils and Activated Charcoal
Burning essential oils is great for purification and helps reap many health benefits. Using a high-quality oil will give maximum benefit. Active carbon naturally filters your house, and charcoal absorbs toxins in the air without any odor.

Footnote- To fight the daily problems of pollution, we need to start from our houses and purify them.
