Here’s How you can Stay Fit and Healthy at Home

Staying at home makes us feel lazy and lethargic and as a result it can make our health and wellness suffer. Binge-watching all day long while staying home can not only destroy health but also take us closer to various life-threatening health problems. Here we bring you some of the great tips that help you in staying fit, active and healthy at the comfort of your home. These tips will definitely help you to stay in shape and reduce the risk of various diseases as well. Just swear by these tips and enrich yourself with good health.

  • Add exercises: We often take calories and forget to burn them and as a result, it leads to various problems in the body. There are various exercises that you can do at the comfort of your home to burn out those unnecessary calories that leads to gain pounds. You can do warm-up by some jumping jacks, skipping and start with some basic aerobics, squats, push-ups, crunches, stretches and yoga poses. If you are a beginner start with 30 minutes and slowly increase your time. Don’t rush your body a lot if you are just starting the routine. A lot of exercises in one go can suffer you from various injuries while creating pains and aches in various parts of the body.

 

  • Plan and Portion your meals: Planning meals while staying at home is extremely important and it can save us from unnecessary eating of foods and packing of negative calories. You can add various healthy foods in your diet and serve it to yourself in small portions. Small portions at intervals will not pack heavy calories in one go and it is easy for the body to digest smaller portions and that is how it saves you from weight gaining. Try to maintain portion size by taking small plates, sharing your food with others, use your hands for serving size and by covering the half plate with food and another half with the veggies.

 

  • Don’t forget the servings of fruits and veggies: While we stay at home we often forget to consume the fruits and veggies and rely mainly on junkies. Junk and processed foods can harm the body like nothing else. These foods are rich in bad fats, sugars and sodium which can destroy your health and also increase the risk of various problems like diabetes, high cholesterol levels and heart attacks. Don’t forget to consume 5 servings of fruits and veggies in order to get fit and healthy. Fruits and veggies are packed with various vitamins and minerals that can give you the best health.  

 

  • Stay hydrated: Staying hydrated is one of the best ways to make yourself fit and active. Proper hydration levels are required for the smooth functioning of the body. It will make you feel active and refresh. Consume at least 2-3 litres of water on a regular basis to make yourself fit and active. You can also consume fresh coconut water to hydrate yourself. Coconut water is rich in various nutrients and revitalizes you in just a few minutes.
