The blazing sun heat affects our skin in plenty of ways and can easily make our skin look dull and tired. Sun tanning can easily bid adieu to the moisture and can completely take away your glow. The best way to get rid of the tanning and to get back your healthy and supple skin is to use natural ingredients straight from your pantry. Here we bring you some easy, quick yet effective DIYs to remove the stubborn suntan and to get back your hydrating and nourishing skin.

  • Lemon juice and honey: Lemons are a great source of vitamin C that not only lighten dark spots and pigmentation but it will also remove sun tan from your skin, giving you firmer, supple and healthy skin. Honey contains anti-bacterial properties and antioxidants that will bring back the lost moisture in your skin. For this DIY, all you have to do is take a teaspoon of honey and mix it in half a teaspoon of lemon juice. Apply it on your skin for 30 minutes and then wash it off.
  • Tomatoes, gram flour and lemon: Tomatoes are rich in antioxidants that work perfectly as a tan removal agent. It assists in restoring glow, repairing skin damage and decreasing the ageing process. Gram flour aka besan has been touted for this plenty of skin-benefiting properties. It helps in removing tan, treat acne and exfoliate dead skin. Lemons are a great source of Vitamin C that helps in treating sunburn. For this DIY, take a teaspoon of gram flour and 1-2 teaspoon of tomato juice and lemon juice and apply it on your face for 20 minutes and then wash off.
  • Yoghurt and lemon: Yoghurt is a great ingredient to soothe sunburn as it gives a calming and cooling effect to your skin. Yoghurt can easily eradicate the dead skin cells and make your skin supple and glowing. All you have to do is take 2 teaspoon of yoghurt and some drops of lemon juice in it and massage it over your face in a circular motion. Leave it for 10 minutes and then wash off.
  • Aloe Vera: Aloevera is just the perfect ingredient that can benefit your skin and hair in plenty of ways. Aloevera contains Vitamin A, C and antioxidants that can help in treating sunburn, acne and dry skin. All you have to do is cut some aloe vera and gently massage it on your skin in a circular motion and allow it to dry. Once done wash off and pat dry.
