Roasted Sesame Carrots

Roasted Sesame Carrots are a delightful and nutritious side dish featuring sweet carrot sticks roasted to perfection with a savory sesame twist. For a Serving Size of Two:

Ingredients:

  • 300 grams carrots (peeled and cut into sticks)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Procedure:

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Peel and cut the carrots into sticks or rounds.
  • In a mixing bowl, toss the carrot sticks with sesame oil until evenly coated. Add sesame seeds, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Toss well to ensure the carrots are evenly coated with the seasoning.
  • Spread the seasoned carrots in a single layer on a baking sheet. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the carrots are tender and slightly caramelized, tossing halfway through.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve warm or at room temperature.
