Paneer Veggie Balls

Paneer Veggie Balls are a delightful and nutritious snack that brings together the richness of paneer with the freshness of vegetables. These bite-sized balls are seasoned with aromatic spices and cooked until golden brown for a crispy exterior and soft, flavorful interior. They make a perfect appetizer or light meal when paired with a side of green chutney or yogurt dip.

For a Serving Size of Two:

Ingredients:

  • 100 grams paneer
  • 50 grams grated carrot
  • 50 grams chopped onion
  • 1 chopped green chili
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander
  • 1 tablespoon whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon oil

Procedure:

  • Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  • Add finely chopped onion and sauté until translucent. Add the grated carrot and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender. Stir in turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  • In a large bowl, combine crumbled paneer, the cooled vegetable mixture, chopped coriander, and whole wheat flour.
  • Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated. The mixture should hold together. If it’s too dry, add a small amount of water. If too wet, add more whole wheat flour.
  • Divide the mixture into small portions and roll them into smooth balls.
  • Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Add a little oil and place the paneer balls in the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve the paneer balls hot with a side of green chutney or yogurt dip.
