Mini Sama Chawal Uttapam

Mini Sama Chawal Uttapam is an instant, easy to prepare, simple recipe. You can relish this dish at the days when you are fasting and pamper yourself with another delicious recipe.

Nutritional Benefits:

Samak rice is a rich source of fibre and contains consistent amount if iron and magnesium. It also provides you with instant kick of energy. Tomatoes are the great source of antioxidant lycopene which is linked with many benefits ranging from reduced risk of heart diseases and cancer.

Ingredients:

  • 20 grams Samak Chawal
  • 10 grams sago
  • 1 small boiled potato
  • 10 grams curd
  • 2-3 green chillies
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds powder
  • 3-4 Fresh coriander leaves
  • Olive Oil – 1 teaspoon

Method:

  • Make a thick batter using samak chawal and sago. Add cumin seeds, curd and fresh coriander leaves into it.
  • Heat the pan and spread some oil on the pan.
  • Pour the batter on to the pan and don’t spread it.
  • Make small sized uttapams out of it and stuff it with mashed potato.
  • Sprinkle oil on the sides and let it cook from both the sides carefully.
  • Flip again until the plain side becomes little brown.
  • Samak rice uttapams are ready. Enjoy it with coconut chutney or mint coriander chutney.
