Coping with change with different phrases

It is said that change is constant! Change is around all of us. Changing as per the situation requires time and is a little difficult but you can deal with it if you take mindful steps. The question arises- where is our attention when the change is happening? Do we really focus on the change? The fact is we went out there trying to fix the world without fixing ourselves. Changing the outer world without knowing the inner us can create complications in the mind.

We always remain worried about how things would pan out without really looking what’s happening within ourself. There are always 2 changes that occurred in a situation- one is outside and one is inside. We always focus on the outer change because that is something we can see but we cannot see the change that is happening within us and sometimes even we see the change that is happening within us, we tend to not accept that change very easily. We see the word “change” as a negative thing and that is what always stops us from accepting it.

It is no wrong to say that our internal change is our choice, not the external change. And the moment you start understanding that what lies outside you is not controllable but what lies inside you is controllable can help you in accepting the things in a better way. So, change is our choice that happens within. Change is good and sometimes it’s for the better.

It is said that our inner world creates our outer world. Whatever you think in the mind is what you transcend on the outside. It is really really important to make the right choices to process the right thoughts inside us and change is a by-product of everything we imbibe and everything that we practice. The way we think will affect the way we feel and that will affect the way we behave and how others will react and respond to us. Sister Shivani says: “Sanskar se sansar banta h.” What you think makes your world.

We have the choice to choose! Always make sure that whenever you are looking for a change you are not seeing it as a bad way. Positive change only comes when you change your attitude and mindset in a happy and meaningful way. “We all want a positive change but we don’t want to change” is something majorly seen in the people. For example, a fit body requires a change in your eating habits, exercising routine and your lifestyle. If you just lay down and don’t want to change yourself then you will never get a fit body.

7 ways how to deal with change?

  • Acknowledge that things are changing
  • Don’t stress about stressing out
  • Focus on your values instead of your fears (remind yourself what is important to you)
  • Don’t expect stability from outside but create it inside
  • Accept your past but fight for your future
  • Accept and refrain (view is as an opportunity to learn and grow)

Footnote

Change is part of our lives. Not accepting it or fearing from it can only hamper you. Dealing with change requires a positive mind-set and the power to accept and understand that change is happening. Only by accepting it, you will be able to take steps that help you in coping with it.
