Almond flour waffles

 

Almond waffles are prepared from a perfect combination of apple sauce, oats and almond that give the waffles a nutty taste and texture. This recipe will definitely exceed your expectations and are prepared with few ingredients.

Nutritional benefits:

Almonds contain great amount of nutrients such as magnesium, calcium, healthy fats, protein and fiber. They help in controlling the blood sugar levels as they are rich in MUFA. Almonds help in reducing hunger by reducing the overall calorie intake. Oats is a great source of fiber that is good for constipation and helps to lower the blood sugar levels. It helps to lose weight as well.

Ingredients:

1 eggs
10 gram applesauce, unsweetened
50ml almond or any milk
1 teaspoon of  maple syrup or honey
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
10 gram oat flour
10 gram almond flour
Cooking spray

Calories: 196 Kcal

Fat: 10.8 gram

Carbohydrate:15.6 grams

Protein:9.9 grams

Method:

Let’s start by taking a clean large mixing bowl.
Add in the egg to whisk, combined with applesauce, milk, honey, vanilla extract, baking soda and salt.
Mix them well and add the oat and almond flour.
Meantime preheat the waffle maker and spray some cooking oil over it.
Pour on the batter and let it cook for some-time.
Then remove and serve!

Over to you:

Top over the waffles with some fruit yogurt or ice-cream. Fresh cut fruits can also be added to make it more delicious. Enjoy with everyone!
