Justin Bieber Reveals He’s Suffering from Lyme Disease

Justin Bieber, a Canadian pop singer has revealed that he has been suffering from Lyme disease. He just got diagnosed with this problem. Lyme disease is a type of infection which is generally occurred by bacteria ordinarily supported by ticks.

The 25-year-old posted on Instagram “While everyone was saying Justin Bieber looks like shit, they failed to realize that I have recently diagnosed with Lyme disease. This problem is a serious case of chronic mono which affected my skin, brain function, energy, and overall health. The disease and its problems will be explained further in a documentary-series which I am soon going to put on YouTube channel. You can learn all that I’ve been battling and OVERCOMING!! It’s been a rough couple years but getting the right treatment that will help treat this so far incurable disease and I will be back and better than ever NO CAP.”

The star also said that media thought that he was suffering from drug problem due to the blotches on his skin.

What are the symptoms of Lyme disease?

There are various early signs and symptoms of Lyme like fever, headache, fatigue, muscle and joint pain, and swollen lymph nodes. These symptoms are all common in the disease of flu. However, various studies said that 80% of people suffering from Lyme infections develop a rash first.

Without proper treatment, symptoms can evolve. Some of the most common symptoms include:

  • Severe headache
  • Neck stiffness
  • Rashes on various parts of the body
  • Arthritis (Joint paining and swelling)
  • Loss of muscle tone
  • Heart palpitation or an irregular heartbeat
  • Soreness in the brain and spinal cord
  • Impassiveness
  • Burning in the hands or feet

Ways to prevent a tick bite

Ticks are very small in size and they only live in between the shrubs and bushes. Try to avoid going in such places during the time of winters as they are active in winters. To avoid any bitten you should:

  • Try to wear full pants and socks whenever you walk in the woody area.
  • Try to apply a tick repellent on your overall skin that is rich in lemon oil or eucalyptus.
  • For more safety, try to apply the chemical permethrin on your clothes.
  • Try to take a shower within 2 hours after you come from some bushy place.
  • Wash your skin properly and remove out all the ticks from your hair.
