Sheershaasana is a yoga pose in which the legs go up and the hands stay on the ground, it is an excellent pose for proper blood flow to the brain and upper part of the body. The way these poses work is that the hands are supposed to be on the ground and the whole body is supposed to be upright in the air with or without support depending upon the strength of the one doing it. The upright body is expected to keep both the legs straight up in the air as well thus creating a natural downwards force which further promotes better blood flow, thanks to gravity. Sheershaasana is quite effective in relieving stress, strengthens the arms, legs, and spine, boost digestion and tones the abdominal muscles.
