Effective Tips For Coping With Alcohol Withdrawal

We all make blunders in our lives, but we need to show resilience in order to move on as life goes on. We are too special to waste our life on things that are not worthy. I believe if there’s a will, there’s a way. Heavy drinking can be quite dangerous and can result in vicious behavior. But it’s not the end of the world, drinking habits can be eliminated altogether by effort and willingness. All it takes is courage and integrity to put an end to these bad habits.

Tips to overcome your addiction
Here are some tips on quitting alcohol that will come in handy for you:

  • Declare yourself: – Tell your friends and family that you are quitting and need help from them. Family and friends will empathize with you more than anyone, they will appreciate you for your little efforts, and more importantly they will help you stay away from alcohol at all costs. The more support you have the better.
  • Share your journey: – Find people who are also trying to quit or who have quit already to get motivation from their journeys. Share your story in an alcohol addiction support group to feel rewarded.
  • Stay away from alcohol buddies: – Don’t pick the call of those who don’t want anything from you but alcohol company. Even sitting with the person drinking alcohol can trigger a relapse.
  • Make your morning interesting: – Write yourself a note or a letter just after you wake up, stating why you started in the first place. And when you feel like giving up, just open your dairy and read those beautiful lines.
  • Find yourself a hobby: – This couldn’t be the better time to do what you’ve always dreamt of. Go out and play the sport you love, try yoga or exercise, try reading a book.
  • Eat right nutrition: – Drink plenty of refreshing fluids like mojito and hot beverages like cappuccino to keep your happy hormones in check. Eat plenty of greens, vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds. Try increasing your diet slowly, for example; gradually increase your one fruit to three-four, 3 almonds to 6, etc.

Either surrender like everybody else or have faith in a successful and happy future, even if it is a lot more difficult than you thought. Enjoy the freedom!
