Miso Soup

Miso soup is a very simple, easy and flavourful Japanese soup which you must count on in this cold weather. It is a perfect munching snack to pamper yourself when you suffer from sudden hunger pangs in a nutritious way.

Miso, one of the main ingredients of this soup is fermented soya bean paste which makes it a rich source of protein. Apart from this it is rich in essential vitamins & minerals such as B vitamins, Vitamin E, K and folic acid. Also, since its fermented, it acts as probiotic and is good for gut.

Ingredients:

  • 10 grams Dashi granules
  • 15 grams Tofu
  • 20 grams Green onions
  • 20 grams Beans
  • ½ teaspoon miso paste

Method:

  • In a saucepan combine all the ingredients including dashi granules, green onions, beans except tofu for 5-8 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to medium and add miso paste and sliced tofu.
  • Simmer gently for 3-4 minutes
  • Add diced tofu and serve hot!
