Creamy rice pudding is a sure treat for your sweet cravings. This creamy, healthy and delectable treat is the best way to end your day with some sweet innovation.

Rice is loaded with fibre, and Vitamin B complex. Rice is easily digested and is really beneficial for those having digestion issues.

Jaggery is rich in iron, and certain minerals like magnesium, potassium, selenium, and zinc. All these play a vital role in maintaining health. When compared to sugar, jaggery is absorbed slowly and thus doesn’t spike the blood glucose levels as quickly as sugar does.


  • 20 grams of cooked rice
  • 100-millilitre cow’s milk
  • 2 teaspoon jaggery powder
  • ½ teaspoon cardamom powder
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • Salt, as per taste
  • ½ teaspoon saffron strands

In a small pan, heat milk then adds rice, jaggery powder, saffron strands, cardamom powder and salt. Cook, uncovered, over medium heat for about 20 minutes or until the consistency is thick, stir occasionally to avoid lumps.
Once cooked, remove from the heat; stir in vanilla and mix well.
Spoon into a serving dish and serve warm.
