Five Super Drinks to Add this Monsoon

Monsoons come with a set of skin-troubles. In natural skin care routine, super drinks are the real rock stars which helps you keep your skin hydrated. This monsoon try these power driven super healthy drinks and let every sip provide you body-invigorating vitamins.

Hot and Spicy Chocolate Cinnamon Tea

Cinnamon is an excellent herb that can boost digestion and reduce or manage the levels of blood glucose, making it a boon for diabetics. This tea contains dark chocolate which is full of antioxidants good for heart and you can also add a dash of ginger for that extra anti-bacterial affect.

Just take a cup of water, add 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder, little grated ginger and let it boil. Just before removing from the flame, add grated dark chocolate and give it a good stir.

Turmeric-ginger-lemon tea

How to make: Take 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger root, turmeric root, 2 freshly squeezed lemon juice, 1/4 freshly grounded black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon raw honey with 4 cups of boiling filtered water.

Milk with chia seeds

Milk is an ideal source of calcium- it contains vitamins D that lead to stabilized blood sugar levels and keeps unhealthy cravings at a bay. Chia seeds are full of antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acids which help in reducing weight and raising HDL (good) cholesterol.

Tip: Add chia seeds to cold or lukewarm milk. Use skimmed or low fat milk.

Amla Juice or Jamun Slush

Amla juice contains good amount of Vitamin C and iron which helps you stay protected from various ailments and diseases. From pulp to seed, every part of this fruit has health boosting magical powers and comes packed with so much goodness that helps improve your hair, vision and skin. It purifies blood, helps burn excessive fat, and prevents premature hair loss and greying of hair. It is recommended to consume homemade, fresh and unsweetened amla juice.

Jamun (Black plum/ Java plum) is nutritiously refreshing and loaded with healthy nutrients. It has a mix of sweet and sour flavor that comes as a pure delight of taste. All you need to do is de-seed the fruit and blend to make a smooth juice, you can also add little black salt to enhance the flavor. You can add crushed ice as per your liking. Jamuns are low in calories and have bio active phytochemicals that help in fighting liver diseases and minimizing the risk of certain cancers. These tiny fruits work excellent in the management of Diabetes.

Hibiscus Tea

This caffeine free, zero calorie drink actually helps to maintain natural glow on skin.
