Time for celebrations, family get-togethers, love, and blessings. After 30 days of abstinence and fast during the month of Ramadan, Eid is a time for delicious sweets and savouries. The highlight of the Eid festival is its delicious and flavoursome dishes. So, it’s time to break your month long fast by trying these special, feasty delicacies because your Eid-al-Fitr will be incomplete without these tempting iconic dishes.

  • Sheer Khurma- The traditional Sheer khurma is one of the most popular and a traditional festive breakfast of the Muslims. It is an Eid special sweet dish made with roasted vermicelli, milk, and dates. Sheer basically means milk pudding served with dried dates. This dish is very auspicious and served at the time in the morning of the Eid to the family and coming guests.
  • Galouti kebab- This royal dish of Nawab is a delectable treat from the land of Nawabs, Lucknow. This smooth, silken and delicious – Galouti Kebabs will make you fall in love once again and you will crave for more. Galouti can be translated to ‘soft’ which makes this Indian kebab recipe a melt in the mouth from the Awadhi table and style. With a unique blend and taste of mix of pounded wheat, lentils, goat meat, ghee and dried fruit, this unique dish is surely going to make your day. Haleem is a ghee-rich porridge that is made with lentils like gram moong dal and chana dal, wheat, and minced meat. The garnish on haleem plays an important role; the crisp fried onions, ginger slices, green chilli, lemon juice and coriander leaves help deliver the perfect flavour to the dish.
  • Baida Roti

    This food dish is exclusively for egg-lovers. It is a layered parantha with the coating of eggs. The specialty of Baida Roti is that it is made with pre-cooked chicken or mutton mince maida dough (all-purpose flour) and egg along with the spices which are filled up in these paranthas. They are served with mint sauce to add on a special flavour to baida roti. This dish can truly work as an easy starter recipe for this Eid that would be loved by everyone.

  • Methi Seviyan

    An Eid specialty, Meethi Sewai is a quick dessert that is specifically made on festivals and other occasions, however this sevai recipe is such that you wouldn’t resist and stop yourself from indulging in this dish as a post-meal dessert. This Meethi Sewai recipe is prepared with vermicelli cooked in milk with an additional of nuts such as almonds and pistachios in desi ghee. It has a nutty, delicious and rich sweet taste and the effort used to make this dish is very less and is easily cooked. Specially made during Eid, Seviyan can be prepared in advance and stored in the fridge in serving dishes, so that you can relish this sweet dish whenever the guests pour in.
