Everybody heard a lot about how exercises help in keeping a person’s body fit and fine. But did you ever heard about how exercises combat stress and make you feel free from your tensions? Yes, that’s true! Doing regular exercise in almost any form can easily help you in beating stress and works as a perfect stress reliever than anything else. Physically activeness in some way or other can boost your endorphins (happy hormones) and this way you can be easily distracted from your daily tensions or worries.

Start from 30 minutes daily and gradually increase your time to see the difference in stress, body and calmness of mind.

It is well said that “Strength of mind is exercise, not rest.” So, here are some points which explain how exercising helps a body to combat stress.

  1. Boost endorphins level: By an active engagement in some form of physical activity helps in increasing the production of endorphins which is well known in making your brain feel good. You can go running at least 30 minutes in a day and it’s done, you will come home with a fresh and new mind. A small game of tennis or a brisk walk for 30 minutes in a calm park with beautiful nature can also add up to the same feeling.

It’s meditation in motion: Adding various fast-paced games like racquet ball or diving in the pool is not the meditation but after going through these activities your mind will feel free just like your mind feel after meditation. Such activities give your mind a sense of pleasure and make you completely forgot about the irritations of the day. By practising such exercises, you will only be concentrated on your body’s movements and your tensions will directly fade away. Start adding such motion activities in your daily regimen and as soon as you begin this, you may notice your mind is focussing on a single task while giving you the positive energy and optimistic thinking which further assists in maintaining a calm and clear mind.
  3. It improves your mood: Exercising regularly can easily soothe your mind into relaxation and now never makes you suffer from depression and anxiety. Exercising daily has proved true in improvising sleep. It also gives a sense of calmness to your whole body and boost your mood and heal anything disrupted by stress, depression or anxiety. Exercise benefits are not only limited to the mind or body but it can also maintain your weight while keeping diseases at bay.
