The Ultimate Breakfast Smoothie: Avocado Spinach Smoothie

This season, enhance your system and health with a powerful green smoothie to kick off your day. This recipe of spinach, avocado and juicy berries is packed with fiber, protein and good fats.

This shake is an all rounder since it provides almost every nutrient. Avocado is known to have healthy fats like oleic acids and is filled with nutrients like vitamin K and folic acid. Spinach is a superfood loaded with nutrients in a low calorie package stacked with proteins. Flax seeds and chia seeds increase the fiber intake and are very nutritious, making them the perfect add-on for smoothies. This shake is perfect for breakfast or post workout since it keeps you full for longer.


  • CALORIES: 280-300
  • SERVING: 1
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 cup baby spinach
  • 1 cup toned milk
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 inch ginger, peeled
  • 1/2 teaspoon flax seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon chia seeds
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 4 ice cubes




Add everything to the blender and blend until smooth.

Thyme is a Mediterranean herb and has been traditionally used to cure diarrhoea, stomach ache and sore throat.


2 small beets

Few sprigs of thyme

1 teaspoon olive oil

1 teaspoon lemon zest

Salt- as per taste

Calorie = 112 kcal
Protein = 2.8 grams
Carbohydrates = 14.8 grams
Fat = 4.7 grams

Cut beets into thin slices

Put them in a saucepan, with some water. Boil until tender

Next, light your charcoal or barbecue fire

Take a large piece of foil and lay the beets in them. Brush a little olive oil and top with thyme and lemon zest.

Fold the foil and twist the ends together. Punch small holes in the foil with the help of a knife or fork.

Leave it to cook for 15-20 minutes.

Once cooked, allow it to cool and then discard the charred skin.

Toss with salt and pepper, and serve.
