Home Made Whole Wheat Granola

You must have heard that granola is a great healthy breakfast but do you know that packaged granola or muesli available in markets are in reality loaded with extra sugar, unnecessary calories, carbs and fat. So, the only healthy granola is the homemade granola which you’ll be preparing with the whole wheat flour, oats, and wheat germ.

Nutritional Benefits:
Whole Wheat have benefits like increasing weight control, promoting digestive health, aiding mental health, lowering risk of type 2 diabetes and reducing chronic inflammation. Cinnamon contains both fiber and calcium with protect the body against heart disease and also help with colon health. Just the scent of cinnamon can boost the brain function. It also has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties. Almonds and coconut used in the recipe filled the recipe with vitamin E, fiber, healthy fats, and reduce inflammation in the body.


  • 5 gm regular oats
  • 5 gm whole wheat flour
  • 5 gm cup wheat germ
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 2.5 gm flaked coconut
  • 2.5 gm sliced almonds
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2.5 gm raisins


Calories – 153.8 Kcal
Proteins – 2.7 g
Fat – 8.6 g
Carbohydrates – 14.7 g


  • Sieve oats, whole wheat flour, wheat germ, cinnamon, and salt together in a blender and blend together for couple of seconds.
  • Pour over the oats mixture the vegetable oil, honey, and ¼ cup of water and pulse until completely blended.
  • Spread this mixture evenly in a shallow well-greased pan and bake in 180 degree Celsius pre heated oven for 45 minutes.
  • Stir in some coconut and almonds and bake for another 20 minutes. Cool and mix in the raisins and store in an air tight container.

Over to you:
This homemade cereal goes very well with milk. All you have to do is make up a big batch of them, keep it in a glass jar and you are ready for any busy days ahead. Play around different combination of seeds and nuts and see what your family likes the best!

  1. Hey…I dint quiet get it..the picture shows whole oats grain but u have asked to pulse everything with water which will make paste of the thing…
    How exactly will it turn out
