Guava Amla Punch

This recipe is an amazing blend of guava and amla puree, flavoured with ginger and lemon juice. The appetizing cooler is garnished with a dash of pink salt and mint leaves. Preparing this guava amla punch will help your body to boost your immunity and vitamin intake. Let’s have a look at its nutritional values.

Nutritional Values

The immensely popular fruit, guava is a known powerhouse of nutrients like dietary fiber, and vitamins A, C, B6, niacin, folate, thiamine, and riboflavin. It also contains vital minerals such as calcium, magnesium, phosphorus,  iron, and potassium.

Alma is extremely rich in vitamin C including vitamins and minerals like vitamin B complex, iron, calcium, phosphorus and carotene. Moreover, it has potent antioxidant properties including Vitamin C, an antioxidant agent that makes alma a superfood to fight against a variety of health conditions, including types of cancer.

Ingredients

 

  • 1 Cup Chopped Guava, de-skinned & de-seeded

  • 1-2 Amla, small pieces

  • 1 tsp Ginger, juice

  • A Pinch Red Chili Powder

  • ¼ tsp Pinch Pink Salt

  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice

  • 250 ml chilled water, chilled

  • Mint leaves- 2-3

 

Course: Mid-afternoon – Evening

Calories: 51 Kcal

Proteins: 1.2 grams

Fat: 0.6 grams

Carbs: 10.7 grams

Method

 

  • Blend guava and alma with 2 tbsp of water and blend it to a fine puree.

  • Now in a jug, mix guava and amla puree, ginger, lime juice, pink salt, red chili powder, and mix everything well.

  • Add water, ice cubes and mix well just before serving.

  • Serve chilled.

Nutritional Benefits

Beetroot provides you with fibre, iron, potassium, folate and Vitamin C which is good for skin and further act as an antioxidant. It can improve exercise performance, lower blood pressure and serve as a low calorie food. It can also improve digestion and help in weight management. Thyme is a Mediterranean herb and has been traditionally used to cure diarrhoea, stomach ache and sore throat.

Ingredients

2 small beets

Few sprigs of thyme

1 teaspoon olive oil

1 teaspoon lemon zest

Salt- as per taste

Calorie = 112 kcal
Protein = 2.8 grams
Carbohydrates = 14.8 grams
Fat = 4.7 grams
Recommended for- High Blood Pressure and Digestion
Course- Evening Snack

Method

Cut beets into thin slices

Put them in a saucepan, with some water. Boil until tender

Next, light your charcoal or barbecue fire

Take a large piece of foil and lay the beets in them. Brush a little olive oil and top with thyme and lemon zest.

Fold the foil and twist the ends together. Punch small holes in the foil with the help of a knife or fork.

Leave it to cook for 15-20 minutes.

Once cooked, allow it to cool and then discard the charred skin.

Toss with salt and pepper, and serve.
